Artist's Comments
I drew this in memory of Michael DeJonge. He was a friend of mine who killed himself last year. The one year anniversary for his death was two days ago. I miss him a lot and wanted to draw a picture. Because I can't draw people at all, I drew him as a caracal instead. Why? Because I think caracals are the most beautiful, graceful and majestic animals in the entire universe.
I've been working on this the past few days ... on and off .. Picking it up when I'm bored. Over all, I think I spent about 10 hours+ on it. Yeah, I'm really slow at drawing. I drew and re-drew that background three times. Nothing looked right. So I just made the background up. I did use about five photo references to get the shapes and such of the cloud right, though. I guess that's it. I hope you all have/had a super rad Easter!  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
